Packrat, and what Ive learned
If you're doing a large remodeling project, rent portable storage units as temporary sheds. When the project is done, further improve your home by loading up one of the units with possessions that otherwise would sit in your attic or basement for a year, and send them off to the storage facility to be stored. When you rent a portable storage unit, be creative. They may have been developed for one main use, but there's no reason to be hemmed into that use. If you want to keep the unit at your house, you can; if you don't want to use it to make moving to a new home easier, you can use it for storage for things from your house.
